With every day and every year, it becomes more and more of a struggle to find American made products. What products that once proudly displayed “Made in the USA”, now bear the tiny print of ‘made elsewhere’. Government sources and commercial polling firms have estimated that consumers will spend upwards of $60 billion over the holiday spending spree….yes, you read it right….$60 billion (an estimated $30 billion of that will be online)! Most of that $60 billion will be spent on computers and computer accessories, clothing, electronics, toys and books. It is no doubt that our store shelves are packed with imported goods, many of which have recently been recalled as “unsafe” for our children. Between unsafe materials (such as lead paint), violations of child labor and human rights laws, little or no environmental regulations and abysmal wages (if they receive wages at all) it is becoming morally difficult to buy these imported products whether they are “stylish” or not. While it is difficult to find US made products, it is possible, and we have tried to make it easier for you to BUY AMERICAN this holiday season by compiling this US made list. In purchasing the right gifts this holiday season, and throughout the years to come, we can put American made gifts under our trees and support hard working Americans like ourselves! Remember, it is us who controls the buying power in our country, let’s collectively unleash that power! Note: While this is in no way intended to be a “complete” list of American made goods, it’s a start….we will be updating regularly on uaw1268.com.

Twas a month before Christmas, and throughout the mall, Merchants were issued one final call; The stuff in your windows, all shiny and new… The bikes and the books and the computer parts, too!! Do you have them with labels, do they come Union made?
