Down-South Barbecue

*perfect for Superbowl or tailgate parties!*

1/4 cup water
1 6-oz. can tomato paste
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 Tbsp. chili powder
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard
1-1/2 lb. boneless beef chuck roast
1-1/2 lb. boneless pork shoulder roast
16 hamburger buns

Place beef and pork roasts in a crockpot, cutting meat to fit.  In a small bowl, combine all ingredients and pour over meat in cooker.  Cover and cook on low-heat setting for 10-12 hours or high-heat setting for 5-6 hours.  Remove meat, shred with forks, return to sauce in cooker, and stir.  Serve on *toasted* buns - which will keep them from getting soggy!
